Cleverly written. It's an old Christmas carol that's been jazzed all over ! A great glimpse into Charles Dicken's life.

A clever portrayal of Charles Dickens finding inspiration in everyone around him as he journeys through the necessity to work, to find a story and create the ghost story A Christmas Carol. The characters are lively and likeable - even crusty Scrooge as brought to life by Christopher Plummer.

It was an excellent movie. The storyline was enjoyable and yet informative about Dickens and his time. Unlike some movies every part was well acted especially Dickens, Scrooge and Tara. It made me wish Christopher Plummer had performed Scrooge in a making of A Christmas Carol.

The Man who Invented Christmas was surprisingly surprising - even though we're familiar with A Christmas Carol, the movie was unique!
