It was a very well done thoughtful movie. A refreshing peak into the deaf community via an intimate look into what it’s like to lose your hearing, and live without it while also touching on what it like to struggle with addiction. None of which were treated as character flaws just things about him. It is his impatience and stubbornness that we can clearly see he needs to grow beyond.

Wonderful premise. A rock musician going deaf; Any presumtions I had about where this movie was going went right out the window after the first 20 minutes. Superb sound design, immersive and surprising and sensitive story. \r\rThank you.

It was much more of a documentary than a drama. It was very well done.\rThe sound work was realistic in allowing us to experience a deaf persons perception of hearing loss. I can associate with this to an extent since I am hearing impaired. This will help people empathize with frustrations of deaf ness.

Sound of Metal is a completely original film about finding one's inner peace and accepting oneself for all that we are and all of our perceived flaws. It's the flexibility that we accept what life throws our way that makes life worth living.\rThe acting in this film is spectacular and the screenplay is unique, pulling empathy out of the viewer by making you relate to what the main character is going through through the creative use of sound.\rI highly recommend!
