Best Ridley Scott movie since Alien

It was really enjoyable!!!

The Martian was an all around great movie. It provided us with a range of emotions. A "castaway" style movie can become monotonous, but I never felt that way about this one.

I really liked it. I thought it was a proper mix of Apollo 13, Armageddon & Castaway. Very similar to Gravity. While it wasn't as suspenseful as Apollo 13, it was as comedic and interesting (if not more) as Armageddon.Also, I think the story was told better than Castaway & Gravity. Beautifully shot & well cast, although I did feel there were characters that were not established well at all.
