It is amazing how a seemingly simple buddy film can have so much depth, be so funny and and yet so powerful. The pressure is on these two incredibly talented men to not take another ten years to write another. I’d give it Five stars but I want to give them something to strive for. Yesssssss!

Really enjoyed it; a movie that encourages thought and discussion after viewing.

I don't like the language (but it's authentic). I don't like the violence (but it's what happens all too often in the real world). Both are used to good effect to tell an important, complicated, and nuanced story about the black experience in gentrifying cities across the U.S. It is not comfortable for white people to watch. Worth it understand what many blacks live with everyday.
