It was an excellent movie, shedding light in both the migrant life, strong families, the intensity of becoming an astronaut and so much more.

It would have been a great if not for one thing. When Jose’s wife asked what the other applicants had that he didn't, he said that they were Caucasian. (Does anyone ever think that the candidates that were chosen were actually more qualified? When Jose worked at improving his skills, he got in, as he should have if he had the qualifications.) Then when he said “But the most important thing”, the wife asked, "that they are white". What?! They already mentioned Caucasian. Why mention it again? It seemed to me that this was added afterward as another jab against white people.

A very heartwarming, inspirational story that was portrayed with wonderful imagery and music. I found it had much less over the top sensationalism that typical Hollywood movies have. It had a subtle, real feel about the movie which made it even more touching. I feel that it was culturally accurate without being stereotypical. I thoroughly enjoyed it and am so glad this story is being shared with the world. It deserved to be told!!!
