Very different, but interesting at the same time.

Passengers successfully achieves the marriage between romance and science fiction! And it does it without a contrived setup. And FINALLY a realistic futuristic world were technology is less like magic and actually adheres to the known laws of physics. Visually appealing without being over the top trying to have "as many special effects and eye candy as can be crammed on the screen."Thank you Hollywood! Highly recommended date movie or just for fun.Daniel Kihlstadiusthemarket@juno.com

While no parts of this film were particularly original, it kept me entertained and on the edge of my seat, so I'd say it did it's job. Considering how few characters were in this, the actors really pulled their weight, since it never felt lacking on character development. Overall I would describe it as Gravity meets Titanic rather than a true Sci Fi thriller.
