It had so much potential but just didn't work for me.

"Gods Of Egypt" was directed by the same director as "I, Robot" so I had high hopes for this film, but was a little disappointed. Gods of Egypt had decent action scenes @ times and I appreciated the director's take on the backstory of the Egyptian gods, but overall that could not save the 2+hr film. Some acting was cheesy & several scenes appeared as if they weren't completed in post-production.

The casting was good, especially Butler, who is one of my favorite actors. Overall, the movie was ok, though some parts of the movie could have been done better.
