This is a story that we all should see more than once. Everyone should see this film to be reminded what this great nation was built on and stands for. Freedom for everyone no matter what nationality you maybe.

I really enjoyed the movie. The acting was so good. I was so shocked that it was based on a true story. I was in middle and high school when most of this occurred and at that time I wasn't paying attention to the news so I had no idea of his story. This film made me very emotional. I would say it is a must watch.

Guilty or not, each person has the right under law to a trial, and a fair one. Not to be held without charges, not to be coerced, or tortured. We all lost someone on 9/11, or know someone who did. Even Colin Powell was led astray by Rumsfeld et al. The interrogators at Gitmo are probably all in QAnon now. The acting was all superb, but I had a bit of trouble catching Benedict Cumberbatch's words with the accent he used and his deep voice, but he was excellent as a man of principle, who did the right thing. Tahar Rahim was a standout; Shailene Woodley outstanding; Jodie Foster, as always, excellent. Thank you for the opportunity to see this important film.

If it is an accurate rendition of what happened to the Mauritanian and countless others, all those responsible for keeping Guantanamo open, including Obama, Rumsfeld, Cheney and all the underlings should have their federal pensions revoked. We are a country that obviously has committed as many human rights violations as all the countries we complain about. Powerful. Important that innocent people are not dehumanized in the way the Mauritanian was for umpteen years. Thank you for working so hard to make and show this film.
