Unfortunately depressing but interesting

Remarkable, moving story line that hooks the audience from beginning til end. Production and direction was wonderful, but did Mark Ruffalo suffer from a recent trauma? He seemed unnecessarily twitchy, unlike in his other roles. The lack of empathy by Sasha (McAdams) concerning those abused was noticeable - no hug when someone's crying and pouring their heart out to you about a tragedy? Strange.

A gripping dramatization of an important story that raises many difficult issues. Supple acting by an ensemble cast and especially by Michael Keaton. Beautifully filmed and thoughtfully paced. Moments that make the audience smile, chortle, and gasp. Stay through the credits. Powerful.
