From the previews I was prepared for a love story, and I felt like this film fully delivered. The elements of the Armenian genocide also enhanced the film and made for a unique yet intriguing combination. The film was a bit long, but was packed with various elements that kept my attention throughout the movie, making for an enjoyable movie experience.

We were amazed it was so educational about the Ottoman Empire who ruled so viciously at that historic time. The Armenian genocide by the Turks was graphic. The film really painted a romantic picture of life among Armenians and the young desires and educational difficulties which one had to struggle to overcome on their own. A beautiful two-tissues creation.

Will diffidently recommend all to see this film. History that most of the people are unaware that had happened. Will most likely see this movie again.
