An affecting film with excellent performances, writing, sound design and direction. Riz Ahmed was totally believable as Ruben and deserves serious award consideration.

I thought all the performances were strong. Riz Ahmed was phenomenal, but the real scene stealer with his quiet and contained emotion was Paul Raci. Though part of the subject matter (the addiction aspect) felt familiar, the deafness aspect made it much more intriguing. I think I was resisting liking it for the first part of the movie, but found myself ultimately moved by the performances.

The movie was very good. I enjoyed the performances and the sound design.

Great lead performance by Riz Ahmed. He really captures the essence of his character and his turmoil.
