Fabulous acting, storyline and character development! The best film I have seen in a long time.

Here's my view w/ no spoilers: A wonderful period piece about the importance of being yourself even when it is difficult. Paul Bettany delivers an Oscar-worthy performance as the black sheep college professor who is tortured by memories of home when he returns to South Carolina for his father's funeral. Sophia Lillie is the niece who is clearly the person in her generation destined to "break away." This film is so expertly cast and the scenes are achingly beautiful. I love that this will be released at Thanksgiving - sometimes we need to go home even when we dread doing so.

I really enjoyed this film. Paul Bettany and the rest of the cast are excellent. And the relationship between Sophia Lillis' character and her Uncle Frank is really touching.
