It was awesome! I didn't know what to expect & a great surprise. I haven't clapped after a movie in a heck of a long time! I went home & googled it & the actors...fantabulous!

thought this would be more of a teen movie, I was so wrong, this should stand as a classic in years to come, so much more than the usual formulaic style of American movies

Loved this flick! A great coming-of-age movie without falling to the usual cliches (no Hollywood formulas here). The Irish and 80's setting were great (neither of which were overdone, it felt true to the era & everyone was so well cast - from the lead, thru the band members to the lead's brother. I'm looking for the soundtrack to purchase - mostly due to the original songs performed in the movie.
