I think it cause one to look deeper into a situation before passing judgement. There is more to the story. I really enjoyed this film.

The Mauritanian was gut wrenching and painful to watch-especially as a Yemeni-American, Muslim. I am in awe by Mohamed's ability to forgive such a cruel and unjust system. I am so sorry for all of the Gitmo detainees who fell victim to the brutal tactics enforced by previous and current administrations, a special prayer for those who never made it out alive. And Nancy is a saint! Bravo to the entire film team and everyone else who was a part of Mohamed's case, who chose the truth over lies, and helped the world see how horrendous Gitmo is. You are heroes. #CloseGitmo

Well told story that needs to be heard. The beginning was a little slow as it seeks to lay the groundwork, but very engaging overall.
