I thought it started a little slow. I got to thinking "damn, is this a love story?" then the war scenes started and oh boy was I hooked. Plenty of action, plenty of graphic violence, plenty of blood. I could see some women in the theater were a little uncomfortable at the violence but hey, it's war, I'm sure was was uglier than that!!! Excellent mix of love story and violent war movie-genius!!

Reminiscent of 'Saving Private Ryan'. A very graphic revisitation to the battle at Okinawa. Based on a true story, it's about a man who decides to serve his country, however chooses to do everything but brand any weapons. As you can see from the trailer, he is allowed to do so, for which his wishes of becoming a medic in order to help people is granted. Through faith, he overcomes all odds.

Great movie from beginning to end

This movie is amazing it is emotion stirring thought provoking and well directed. Would watch again and purchase when released.
