I really enjoyed the film itself & while I'm appreciative of the invite as a voting member of both the PGA and the ATAS, I think it is wrong to extend an invite & not be clear... clearly, this was a press screening with over 3/4's of the seats being reserved & 'all others' being told to sit in the first 2 rows! When we inquired as to if/when we could relocate to untaken/unclaimed reserved/press seats, we were told not until 20-min AFTER the film begins. We stayed in the 2nd row & many reserved press seats went empty. This is wrong & does not send the right message to voting guild members.

Had I realized it would be streaming soon, I wouldn't have schlepped out downtown to see it. Streaming is one reason downtown movie theatres are in decline. Yes, I'm recommended "Burial" to others like me who have been involved in funeral practices for decades. We recall how the Loewen Group [and SCI] was upending funeral practices. Jamie Foxx and others were great.

This film is very interesting and highly entertaining. Acting is very good. But I strongly suspect that the courtroom scenes aren't at all like the real-life case the film is based on. Still I have no problem recommending it as an entertainment.

Funny, clever, emotional. Great acting especially Jamie Fox.
