My guest and I like the movie. The acting of the male performers were superior to the acting skills of the female character who played Bathsheba. The scenery and photography was outstanding. The story held our attention and even though, some of story was predictable, we were still totally absorbed.

Beautiful cinematography, gorgeous landscapes, and lighting. I liked the independence of the main female character, Carey Mulligan played her convincingly.Some sweet, gentle humor to even out the melodrama. Some strange coincidental plot twists typical of the literature of the time: e.g., the man who everyone thought was drowned, but showed up at a critical moment; Made me tear up at the end.

Good storytelling, gorgeous scenery.
