I really wanted to like this movie. But it wasn’t suspenseful enough to give me chills. And it wasn’t funny enough to be campy. It was a mediocre, exorcissy adventure. Though many audience members did laugh throughout the screening. I did like casting Taissa Varmiga as Sister Irene given how much she looks like her older sister, Vera, star of the Conjuring, the film from which the Nun was spun.

Story felt predictable at times but enough action to keep you engaged. Great visual effects allowing a deeper dive into the movie's universe.

It was OK. The girl from American Horror Story was not a great actress. I was surprised it was rated R after watching.

Although it was a bit entertaining it had a typical storyline.
