Thoroughly enjoyable. Saoirse Ronan and Emma Watson’s performances were great. The back and forth in time was confusing in some parts, notably after Meg’s wedding, but it was nice that it wasn’t a carbon copy of the 1994 version.

Well-acted, smartly-written, intelligent re-telling of the classic novel. Gerwig's decision to frame the film in flashbacks is a refreshing take, as opposed to the more conventional chronological narrative. Every part was perfectly cast, the standouts being Saorsie Ronan, Timothee Chalamet, and Florence Pugh. I would watch Laura Dern in anything, and Meryl is always welcome. This will definitely become a favourite Christmas movie for many years to come.

Greta Gerwig just solidified herself as a top notch filmmaker. A fantastic film with knockout performances and a new twist on this older material

What a lovely interpretation of the classic book. My teenage daughter and I really enjoyed the character development beyond the previous versions: Meg is so much more than family-focused, Jo more than stubborn, Beth more than sickly, and Amy more than a spoiled brat. Fascinating film from a publishing POV too.
