I thought the story had a lot of potential, and I do want to read the book now to see what it’s all about. I think that the movie was really slow, and a lot of the characters and storylines weren’t really developed. I could tell that the story is very interesting in the book, but the movie skipped over a lot so I feel like I missed a lot.

Honestly I thought it was a good film. Had a compelling story and was very well acted. Only complaint was I felt a little less would have meant for a little more. About 30-40 minutes longer than it had to be. Still I enjoyed it much mote than I anticipated I would and I sincerely mean that!

Interesting premise, great actors but unfortunately the movie takes no risks and becomes kind of bland. It is really "safe" which makes it forgetable

Great story! Ending seemed a bit rushed. Felt anticlimactic when painting was found by authorities... other than that characters were great but wasn't too fond of the father figure character (luke wilson)
