Great historical drama. I liked how this film removed the rose-colored glasses about the lives of American WWII veterans after returning home- especially those in the South- from the war and how it affected their families. It was interesting to see this perspective on screen.

good story line, acting adequate; lead actors are British and at times seemed to overact their southern accents. Father-tenant farmer was excellent

Well acted. Surprised by Mary J. Blige's performance.

The movie truly displayed the truth about the American South. The acting was superb and the topic was extremely important.
