The movie begins slowly, but quickly we see the unsettled life of Lady MacBeth. As the story unfolds the manipulative ways are evident, and it is unsettling to see what someone will do to get what they want. The movie is one I would recommend.

An unnerving mixture of Bronte-ian Victorian England Provincial gentrified mood with Dostoyevsky-isk Russian morale dilemmas and tragedy. The film is an artistic delight with impressive acting, sound effects and photography. But the film is also not for the faint of heart. There are graphic violent scenes that upset my 16-year-old daughter. Nonetheless, Academy Awards are in order!

Enjoyed it. It was different and had a few humerous and shocking moments. I just didn't like the ending.

Great plot twist, didn't see most of them coming!
