There was no chemistry between the two lead characters, she seemed to be putting up with him and he was awkward and trying too hard. Yet we're supposed to believe that there was chemistry building.The film was visually stunning otherwise - it really captured the beauty of the scenery and food of France.

First half hour good then it got repetitive and redundant.

I was so looking forward to the movie, An adventure, liberation, attraction. In the end it was extremely stiff. It hardly seemed they liked each other, the scenery was never truly enjoyed and there was not liberation. She also loved taking photos but did nothing with them.It simply failed everywhere. I wish I loved it but it was emotionless, flat and unappealing. Sorry

We were so looking forward to seeing this film - but honestly - that's 2 hours of my life that I'll never see again. Slow moving, falls flat, a bit of a code blue. This film didn't serve Diane Lane at all - love her but the only positive things I can note are her wardrobe in the film and Phoenix as the soundtrack. A definite miss!
