Yes it's different than the animated one but also answers questions and provides back story the original didn’t. If your just watching it for the story it's a Disney classic with an impowering female lead. The dwarfs should have been real people and not CGI and Snow White's hair could have been better but those are just design elements that can be ignored in order to enjoy the story.

It's a good adaptation of the animation to live action movie.

I took my 88 year old dad. I loved every minute, especially the Princess Problem song. I loved the music and girl power. My dad thought it was ok. He said there was too much singing. My opinion, if your going to a Disney Princess movie expect singing.
