It was shocking to know this was based on a true story. I was deeply moved by this film.

Engaging movie!

The Mauritanian is a compelling legal thriller about the inhuman conditions at Guantanamo Bay following 9/11. Slahi's story is heartbreaking, but ultimately hopeful. Jodi Foster and Shailene Woodley are a tour de force.

Sad how the United States Armed Forces and ones of power can be okay with such an injustice to a human being.
