Mr. Rogers had a presence in my household for most of my life. We all adored him as kids, and later my dad discovered his books and really cherished the messages of love and kindness. Before he passed he wanted my mom to make sure that we all took some time to read them. When everyone I asked to come with me today had plans, I decided that dad–in spirit–is my +1. I'm expecting this film to tug at every heartstring and I'm armed with a few packs of tissues, but I know I'm going to leave this theater having a little more hope than I did when I entered. The world needs more folks like Fred.

Very well made. Good interviews and good insights to his life. I like that the movie didn't focus much in his personal life but his work from beginning to the end

They interviewed his team and family and friends. I really respected and admired him as a child. Now that I’ve gotten this inside look at his work and thought process and personal beliefs I respect and admire him 1000 times more. I hope that today’s kids have an inspiration like him too.

The movie comes at a time when our society is in a troubled state, with violence rampant and the political climate so volatile. It's a shot of humanity and a reminder that love and kindness goes a long way. It is inspirational. I left the theater in good spirits, hoping that I could, even in a minuscule way, be the kind of human that Fred Rodgers was.
