I didn't like this movie at all. I've been to Japan and I was familiar with the story of how Christians were persecuted there and with this being a Scorsese film I was anticipating a lot. My biggest complaint was that the pace was so slow it seemed like nothing was ever happening. The conclusion of the film could've happened 45 minutes in and been much more effective. Kind of boring especially if you don't have typical "christian values"

Walked out 45 mins...it is so dull, 29 yrs to make this film, Scorsese shouldn't have bothered.
