Excellent portrayal of sad story that $ & possessions no matter how valuable cannot buy happiness. I didn't know the story before although i have heard of the Getty Museum. Director, cast, & crew did outstanding job of quickly revising movie with Christopher Plummer so close to release date!

Plummer was wonderful you would never know he was a last minute change. And young Plummer who played Paul was also very engaging. Very well done for time period also.

A very well made movie. Ridley Scott and his cast do some of their best work. The only issue I had was the two shots with Kevin Spacey's J.P. Getty. They are wide/long shots but still noticeably. I am referring to the scene where Getty arrives in the middle east and gets off the train and the high angle shot of Getty walking back to the house after the press conference. Spacey's face is longer that Plummers so there the tell. Other than that it should get some great nominations. Very well done.
