I enjoyed it. It was good-not great. I didn't really like the way the movie ended as soon as the match was over. I felt like several of the characters could have been more developed.

It was an interesting story that deserved a better film. Almost all of the characters are caricatures, and the film has odd tonal shifts and doesn't have a clear focus of what it wants to tell. Add in odd camera shots and transitions and the cliche of having pop songs of the era distract in some scenes where the film doesn't need it.

Accurately captured the spirit of watching a tennis match insomuch as it was drawn out and vapid. Never is this more apparent than the poetic scenes of WTA players huddled around monitors watching Court vs. Riggs and commenting, "This is awful." Insip(id)tion? Steve Carell provides a glimpse of entertainment though he relies on yet another iteration from his one dimensional repertoire.
