Overall a great movie. All the characters were enjoyable and the action scenes were superb. I did not enjoy the 3-D effects and thought they were more of a distraction than an enhancement.

A surprisingly good remake. More humble than the original movie but appears more faithful to the novel on which it was based. Having managed to keep it in 2 hours is kind of an achievement in itself.

The film was gripping, if not a bit gruesome in the reality of war and violence. I also found it very moving on the final conclusion with the Passion of Christ. Both my friend and I were highly motion sick by the cinematography.

Enjoyed the movie. Good action. Script was a little shallow, felt let down at the end. Movie was not as complete as the 1959 Ben Hur.
