With the amount of tropes this movie features it should’ve been called Overdone. I was definitely hoping for more atmosphere and style, but director Julius Avery seems rather content playing it safe and familiar. I was pleasantly surprised by the stellar opening sequence—unfortunately, it only aided in highlighting how bland most of the rest of the film is.

Great opening scenes and the rest I could care for. Zombies or rejuvenated or enhanced humans do die if their brains are blown out but not in this movie.

It was a cool twist on the horror genre. The added ww2 aspects I really enjoyed. It was really intense at a lot moments. I enjoyed it.
