It was kind of slow starting and I didn't think I was going to like the movie too much, but it did pick up and I did enjoy the movie. The aliens/creatures in the movie are awesome. It astounds me at what they can create for the screen now. I think the younger generation would probably enjoy this more than I did, even though I did end up enjoying it in spite of the slow start.

Dialogue was too simple, and at times cringey. Love story sub plot was unecessary, and also cringey. Delevingne's character was strong at times, but was always ruined when interacting with Valerian. The entire movie felt like it was trying to find its footing. The story did not flow as well as it could have. And there's one loose end to story: why didn't that giant flubber from the market come after Valerian in the end? The universe is interesting, and the market scene shows what the movie could have been like. But they failed to deliver to the end. There were sparks of good writing, mostly with the 3 "ducks", but otherwise, the movie had untapped potential.

It started slow, however, it ended up being okay.

exellent special effects. storyline was somewhat disjointed and confusing. rhianna's role/character in picture was "odd".
