Great story and action-packed excitement from the beginning to the end.

The movie action. especially the chariot races in the forum were very well done. Acing was OK, but not outstanding. Some obvious liberty was taken with religious garment ware. Overall it was a good movie.

Really enjoyed this film. It was a remake that more than did justice to the original. Extremely well acted. Only complaint was that some of the scenes were shot in such low light it was hard to make out all of the the details.

Over hyped. Story line very familiar to me from the book and 1960's movie. It's seemed too predictable so the producer's stayed with the book & cut out the parts associated with the Gladiator phase of Ben Hur's trial & tribulations to get back home. Not a big fan of 3-D movies. effects not too bad. chariot race scenes a bit too much! What happened to family was not developed and father son relationship between Ben Hur & his father, & step brother & father was not developed. producers focused on political aspect instead of how family relationship's were. Was worth the effort for an veteran with arthritic knees standing in line for 2 1/2 hours.
