Great directorial debut for Eddie Huang conveying his personal vision and style. I related to the family dynamic and values, and the cultural/traditional motives depicted as a Chinese America/American Born Chinese. Would love to see more commitment to the emotions from the actors, and fleshing out more of what is at stake in the storyline/climax. Soundtrack was a perfect fit for the vibe.

Entertaining, fun and culturally necessary. Characters come off as authentic, not like they’re “acting” - I’m glad that the director is giving “others” a chance to shine. Ending was kinda predictable, but “so what”. Props and respect for sharing your story/vision.

IT HELD MY ATTENTION AND THE STORY WAS VERY INTERESTING. THE MAN PLAYING BOOGIE DID A VERY GOOD JOB .HOWEVER THERE SEEMED TO BE SO MUCH MORE TO ALL THE CHARACTERS HERE THAN JUST BASKETBALL.
