It was entertaining and the combat was unique.

I was excited for this film as a fan of the 1st and Lewis Tan. On that front I was highly disappointed. This film is full of fan service, catering to fans who hated the 1st film and Cole Young, which felt personal. Pacing and violence felt akin to that of the Final Destination series, which holds a very specific flavor of tension and body horror that this took on in spades. It felt at odds with the fantasy comedy adventure that Johnny Cage was in. The new and returning cast were great as were the stunts and fight scenes.
