It is a much needed win for the DC extended universe. Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry works; he is charming, lay-back and has that surfer dude style. There is chemistry between Amber Heard and Jason Momoa which makes for a feel good boy meets girl romantic movie too. James Wan is a comic book reader and you can tell from his inclusion of iconic Aquaman Easter eggs all through the movie.
