The leading actor and actress were a bit too stoic on the characters they played as. I didn't get the feel that Valerian was a playboy. As for the female lead, I forgot her name, was a lil awkward on the romantic emotions. The story is great and came in full circle. As for the other cast, they were great. I loved Bubbles and thought it was too soon for her to die. ;-; As for my experience, I would have enjoyed it more if it weren't for the people sitting the left of my sister. We were seated at the top row. The family kept sending two of their group to get food at least four times during the movie play time and had blocked our views with their bodies during such times. It was disrespectful to other movie goers and those who wanted to enjoy the movie. I was so close to yell at them.

Great special effects and action. Horrible casting as they picked the wrong actors for Valerian and Laureline. For one, in the comics and cartoons, Laureline was a redhead not a blonde and had way different facial and physical features. Cara Delevingne is a horrid actress wooden, stiff and cannot act. Scarlett Johansen would have made a better fit and she is a redhead like in the comics. Also the wimpy boy Dane DeHaan was poor choice as Valerian they should have cast a muscular tough guy like Henry Cavill from Man of Steel as Valerian as he is fit, tough and looks more like the guy from the series not this weakling Dane!Otherwise movie was great.

It was a bit rough getting started; the playful banter between the two stars at the start wasn't convincing. Also, Bubble's little show was too long and seemed unnecessary but thought her overall character was fun. I thoroughly enjoyed the visual effects from start to finish. Definitely, a fun film to watch.
