too much talk among the participants of the contest. No real action other boys getting shot in the head or the guy pooping in the road!! Why did they all have such shitty shoes? They knew they were on a very strenuous walk? The one guy with the pair of sneakers hanging from his waistband? When was he going to change into them? Very weak stuff from Stephen King? I know the book was written during the Viet Nam War. So what? I have warned family members to avoid spending hard earned wages on this junk movie!!

Horrific....I wanted to see more at the end. After sitting for 2 hours to watch the devastation unfold I was looking for the light at the end of the tunnel.

The movie started slow, but then warmed up and the conversation started flowing. Good comedy, with a dark twist.

Tedious. Acting was great but the story was long and arduous. The message is overshadowed by the unnecessary violence. We were disappointed. We were hoping for a Stephen King thriller (albeit psychological) and it fell flat.
