To start this movie does not follow the book. Disney took liberal adaptations. I'm not sure if Jack London would approve.This movie is mostly CGI. Buck the dog was more human than an actual dog. If you like a Disneyfied movie with a "feel good" ending then this is for you. If you're a purist and want the book version wait for it to hit streaming or cable.

This movie deviates too far from the book to be taken seriously. It's too scary for a G rating and the story line is incomplete and disjointed with the antagonist. Although this movie had a few tender moments...Best to read the book after watching this "left to the imagination" mess.

It is an enjoyable movie. No big surprises, but still entertaining.
