Good movie, excellent performances. However disappointed about how rushed it was on his rise to becoming a kingpin and also how the cops that set Wershe up wasn't included. They skimmed through the explanation b4 you can read it good. To be an effective story teller you gotta make the audience feel it. It started off well but fell a bit flat at the end especially when you read the true story. Should have been a 2hr movie so 3rd act don't feel rushed. Build up Wershe's rise more so we can fall.

The film has a good flow that begons with Ricky taking his first step to illegal business to him going to prison. Not only was the film focusing on Ricky, but the father had a part to play that was supportive to the plot. The film seemed that it ended with the downfall of Ricky, but there was a positive vibe after years of imprisonment.

I wasn't sure what to expect when going in to see it. The trailers played it as one thing, but I kind of felt that it was going to be something else, and I was right. It was very "American Gangeter-ish". Overall, I have to say, if you are into this kind of movie, sort of " Devito Parker Jr. #devitoparkerjr Although he had a small role in the movie, he f'ing nailed it. Loved him. My favorite performance by a youngster in a movie in maybe forever.

I thought the movie was well played out. The humor in the movie fits in very well. The actors did a good job portraying the people.
