Some great performances in this dramatic film, based of a gripping novel. However, there is something to be said about the overall narrative that jumps from person to person in different parts of the film. One cannot help feel lost and somewhat discomforted at the lengthy lack of story editing when translating it to the big screen.

Didn't like it. Too long, too slow. Depressing.
