I enjoyed the film a great deal. The plot is a given. However, comparing with previous versions, this is a strong adaption with fuller character development for Meg and Amy. The open structured ending for Jo also makes her choice to be less intrusive and contrived. The soundtrack and costume design are absolutely beautiful. Watson’s performance is less than ideal and seen as the weak link by me. It’s also distracting how she can barely handle a simple American accent without slips.

This is my favorite adaptation of Little Women. Great performances by all of the cast.

I loved the story. I love that it was set back into an older time. That the women wanted more than just getting married in there life.
