Great movie, was somewhat dry but informative. Good insight on the critical reception and reactions from the catholic church. Would reccomend.

Spotlight was unique in that it seemed to cover most of the facts of this story yet was not a documentary but moreso a biopic that generated a sense of disgust and hatred for the facts that were being presented. It is amazing to think that events like this have gone unnoticed and the amazing actors in this movie helped make the characters and their personalities and quirks come to life.

Amazing movie!!! The acting was fantastic! The movie flowed so that you felt as if you were right there with these people as they were uncovering the story! It is so rare that a movie leaves a lasting impression that you take with you out of the theater; this is one on those movies. Just truly amazing!

It's very emotional, we all want to believe in a heaven but who are you willing to sacrifice to keep that faith, the children or your good reputation with other parishioners? Those who choose their good reputation need to open their eyes and see the damage this does to an innocent child, and that the "good preacher" is a sick person who needs help.
