It's got some great scares & production value, but formulaic, and a lot of holes in the plot... please feel free to contact me so I can tell you what they are

I thought the movie had a great first half in its narrative as it kept you at the edge of your seat from its grim setting, however it lacked investigative narrative on the first nun that committed suicide and I would have liked to have more knowledge on what happened to the rest of the nuns in the castle. What I also found was a lack of organic elements as the main antagonist was very computerized

It had a couple of good scares. Although the plot was alright, it was overall rather predictable. However, it was a decent addition to the Conjuring films and added nicely to the world.

Not great, not terrible. Atmosphere is spot on but doesn't fully capture horror overall.
