Very moving story depicting the reality of homosexuality in the South, a still persisting problem. The story is well developed and the events depicted are pretty realistic and believable. Superb acting by the lead actors/actress and the rest of the cast. I found the cinematography to be very, very good and a splendid depiction of the time and place. The ending was also good with family values still dominating the scene despite the conflicting cultural taboos. I loved the scene when Frank told the aunt that he knew that was 'the best she could ever say.'

Well worth the watch. Ultimately showing how relationship can prevail over the tragic results of internalized and externalized homophobia in the life of an extended family.
