The Martian follows pretty true to the book in terms of tone so it's great to see the main character still keeping his sense of humor through a dire situation. If you loved films like Gravity or Apollo 13, you'll love this movie. It's got a great balance of humor and drama thanks to some cameos by Kristen Wiig and Donald Glover. Ridley Scott is great as always!

Matt Damon was a fabulous choice to play Mark Watney. He made the premise seem believable. His narration was enjoyable and really brought in the audience.
