Well acted and breathtaking cinematography and special effects!, this film like the situation itself, plays as relentlessly sad, a little disorienting and exhausting. I think most left the theatre, vowing not to spend too much time on a sailboat. I say that because there was an audible gasp across the the theatre when the photo of the real person, not the actor, was said to still spend most of her time sailing. The friend I brought enjoyed the movie, and I did too, but I'd not see it again. The screenwriter attempted to mitigate the boring nature of this endless journey with flashbacks, but it was not entirely successful.

The portrayal of a storm at sea and the aftermath was realistic and terrifying. The movie is mostly about Tami’s strength and ingenuity and it’s good up to a point, but it doesn’t give her much to do as time goes on, and the story drags a bit towards the end. It seemed like she spent a lot of time lounging on deck and waiting to be rescued, but perhaps that’s just my interpretation because I knew it would happen eventually.
