Not a bad movie, but no Hurt Locker or Zero Dark Thirty. Thought the pacing of the movie was a bit disjointed.

The acting seemed pretty good. Boyega was GREAT! But, it drags & drags & the ENTIRE film is SO OBVIOUS and expected. I didn't like the ending either! Even if you know NOTHING of the true story/stories that DETROIT is based on, everything that happens is expected and just plain old boring!! The film wasn't bad, just not "that good," although it was ok. Plus, it's NOT K. Bigelow's best work, BY FAR!

Detroit was interesting. Ii think that any info or facts based on historical events should be more of a documentary show rather than a big screen movie. As Canadians, I think this just confirmed what we already knew about Detroit in 1967.

Startling in its content and performances. Needed a better opening and some slick editing. Poulter was spot-on as a racist, brutal office officer. Boyega shows promise.
