There was not much character development outside of the romance, like they were in a bubble. It's kind of depressing, but I guess it's supposed to be. I didn't like how they quickly had sex. And I can't stand that there was homosexuality thrown in. I would not recommend it for that reason alone. It's as if that was put in so that the movie is politically correct. I don't like it at all.

The movie was entertaining and showed an interesting depiction of teenage romance strained by traumatic experiences in both protagonists life. The deterrence for me was just the unresolved/unrecognized aspect of the toxicity of the relationship from the protagonists which never came up in the film later towards its climax besides one characters side and not the others. Overall, the movie was enjoyable to watch and the concepts and dialogue was executed well.

I would like to say that I knew people who were profound in knowing themselves high school. However, it is really a messy unnerving grasp at life that we all go through. Relatable in so many ways.

I liked it. The movie would be the definition of the genre “Young Adult”. Its a good mix of seriousness, lightheartedness, and cringe-y teen feels that make up high school. Acting from both leads were great. Overall I liked that there wasn’t a preachy lesson to throw in the audience’s face, but an interesting moment in time for a high schooler.
