It was very fast paced with the plot. I wish they would have taken the time to explain things and slow it down. There’s so much more I wanted clarified and expanded on. I loved Robert Downey Jr’s performance and the CGI was well done. It’s a bit average for me in terms of everyone else’s acting though. Subplots were a bit cheesy but the humor was great, and I was constantly laughing.

The plot meanders a bit into the Drs melancholia and dysfunction. Totally unnecessary for such a wonderful story. A few dark turns would scare even older children. The animals and their personalities shine bright. Visually impacting movie.

The movie was good in hindsight and had me laughing throughout. Didn’t give 5 stars because I’m used to Eddie Murphy and feel he would’ve made Dolittle’s role a bit more funny. Also, don’t recall seeing any black roles in this new version so that was upsetting. However, the movie has allowed me to view squirrels in a different light, lol.

This is a film for families. This film was made to entertain kids and at the very least show them that animals are worth caring for, especially after what's happening to Australia. Some of the editing seems a bit messy but it's still a feel-good movie with a lot of funny quips, adorable animals voiced by a star-studded cast, and the eccentric Robert Downey Jr doing what he does best.
